Star Trek is lame…

star_trek_movie…but this doesn’t look lame, I’m really confused.

Check out the newest trailer for the upcoming JJ Abrams Star Trek prequel/reboot. Will this be the start of a new series of films, or the last kick at the can for a fading franchise? What do you think?

  1. You are right – it does not look lame. In fact, it looks like it’s made of awesome.

How can this be? I feel like I’ve been caught in some sort of parallel universe after a freak transporter accident…

I think, at the very least, it’s done a great job of one thing: People are actually talking about Star Trek, which has been irrelevant for at least ten years. Whether that translates into tickets at the box office, who knows?

  2. Guaranteed it will. Trekkies will flock and JJ Abrams has a substantial following that he’ll bring out too. It’ll be an interesting mix.

  3. Yeah it looks awesome. I’m there or I’m square. I watched Star Trek Nemesis again last night and sorta liked it. What’s wrong with me? That movie was lame as! I also watched Indiana Jones 4 again recently on dvd and actually liked it more than when I was in the theater. Maybe I’m becoming more tolerant of movies in my old age! But yeah definitely look forward to this one, the trailer is awe-inspiring.

  4. Yeah, I hate to admit it, but I have been a fan of the Trek in the past, and I am currently a huge fan of LOST. There is really no way that they are not going to get my money.

However I won’t make my wife sit through it, unless it is so awesome I need to see it again.
